Items Worth the Splurge (a.k.a. My Urban Decay post)

By 12:00 PM ,

I'm definitely what you would call a drugstore beauty.

I try to keep my beauty budget fairly low and stick to brands that aren't expensive at all.

However, there are a few select items I've splurged on and I definitely think they're worth the extra money.

Naked palette - blackbridalbliss.com
Primer potion - sephora.com
All Nighter Setting Spray - sephora.com
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

I first purchased this product a couple years ago at Ulta after reading some rave reviews about it and let me say this - my makeup collection is not complete without it. Although it costs $30 for the 4 fl. oz. bottle, it's worth every penny.

I've repurchased this product once and both bottles lasted me ages. Although I'd love to use it every day, I use it sparingly so I don't have to purchase it as often. This product is fantastic because it really does help get all the wear you can out of your makeup.

I spray my face with this after I'm done with my makeup before a night on the town and my makeup still looks fantastic at the end of the night. It also gives a nice appearance to the skin and keeps your foundation from looking cakey.

Overall, it's well worth the $30.

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Yes, I love Urban Decay. And they should also pay me to endorse their products!

I'm a firm believer that what steps you take to make your makeup last are the most important aspects of wearing makeup. Even if you're not spending much money on the products, you should definitely be willing to put a few extra dollars toward primers and setting sprays.

I've tried drugstore primers, but this product really keeps your eye makeup lasting infinitely longer than it would without. I also recommend the face primer - the consistency is perfect and it helps your foundation look as smooth as possible. Both of these products are in the $20-30 range, but are totally worth it.

I swear, using a primer and setting spray will really transform the way your makeup looks and the longevity of it.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

I love all three of the Naked palettes, but the first one has to be my favorite. (Granted, it is the only one I own, but I digress).

The reason why I love the first palette is because the shades are absolutely perfect for anyone. It's full of beautiful neutrals in a mix of shimmery shades and matte colors.

Because this palette costs around $54, I try to use it sparingly. However, I usually end up using it every day because I love it so much I can't bring myself to use my other eyeshadows. The pigmentation is perfect, they last wonderfully with a primer, and I find they blend very easily with the right brushes.

These are just a couple of the products I feel are worth the money. What do you guys splurge on? Let me know!
