My Top 5 Must-Have Hair Products

By 11:00 AM

I'll admit it. I'm a product junkie.

Ever since I first discovered the world of beauty, my bathroom has been overflowing with products of every kind. Mousse, serums, sprays, mists, texturizers .... you name it, I've probably got 5 different brands of each.

After years of trial and error, these are my top five hair products that I have to keep stocked in my hair arsenal at all times.

1. Big Sexy Hair Spray

Big Sexy Hair is a fabulous line of hair products. I've used a few of them and have never had anything less than great things to say about them. But the hair spray has got to be the best, if you ask me. It's the best hair spray that I've ever used because it actually does what I need it to do. So many hair sprays that I've tried haven't done the trick because they just don't hold well in any way. This hairspray gives you great control over your hair. Note: it is possible to go overboard and get helmet hair with this spray, so be cautious!

2. Got2B Crazy Sleek Flat Iron & Blow Dry Lotion

I've had this stuff since I was in high school and have always loved it. This product is perfect for anyone who has trouble with frizzy hair or keeping locks smooth for straightened looks. It works great for my hair because while my hair is naturally fairly straight, it still has a few kinks in it after air drying and tends to be a little frizzy. Using this product helps straighten out my hair enough so that I can skip the straightener, while keeping my hair smooth. I swear by it!

3. Bedhead Rockaholic Dry Shampoo

I was given this product as a gift for Christmas, and it's definitely been a game-changer with my hair routine. I've tried numerous dry shampoos, and while they're all relatively good and fine, I've found that this one is the best. I love this product because it smells great, it doesn't leave your hair feeling too residue-y, and more importantly, it gets the job done. I can use this product for at least 2-3 days between washes.

4. Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Moroccan Oil Treatment

This is by far my favorite serum to use on my hair. I like using this product as soon as I get out of the shower and after I blow dry and style it. It keeps my hair soft and smooth without weighing it down. What I really love about this serum is that I can apply it to my roots and it won't weight it down. I do have to be cautious about overusing it, but I can get away with using more of this product in my roots than I can with others. This is also great to add into a hair mask!

5. Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray

I always reach for this product when I want to get a nice beachy, textured wave. This product works so well with my shorter hair now. It's really helpful for styling on days when I don't care too much, but I still want to look decent. It's great for adding texture to any look, really. I like using this even when I'm doing a more prim curled look. Overall, it's great for any sort of texture you want!
