My Favorite Bathroom DIY Projects

By 8:00 AM

It might be kind of weird, but my bathroom is actually my favorite room.

It seems like a lot of girls just want a big closet or a huge bedroom, but not me - I love a luxurious bathroom more than anything else. Granted, my bathroom right now isn't exactly "luxurious," but I like to decorate it and make it a serene location for winding down with a nice hot bath.

Here's a few DIY ideas for your bathroom, decorative or to use:

This is a pretty easy DIY project for organizing bath salts in a pretty way in your bathroom. All you need is some empty liquor/wine bottles and your favorite bath salts.

Make sure to rinse our the bottle with warm water and remove the labels on the outside with hot water and soap. (If you have a hard time removing the label entirely, I like to use a butter knife to scrape it off when the soap/water combo isn't removing it well enough).

Let the bottles dry, fill with bath salts, and voila!

If you don't have any bubble bath on hand, this is a great DIY project that includes items you likely already have on hand. You'll need: photo

  • 1/2 cup of soap (You can use any kind of soap you like: shampoo, hand soap, dish soap; preferably anything sudsy)
  • 1 tablespoon of a moisturizer (Olive oil, honey, or milk can be great)
  • 1 egg white (makes the bubbles last longer)
  • 5 drops of an essential oil (lavender, rose, or anything else you like)
Mix all the ingredients together in a bottle and pour under running water in bath!

I like to keep my jewelry in my bathroom, and this is one of my favorite projects I've done to organize it. What you'll need:

  • A bulletin board
  • Fabric of your choice
  • Push pins
  • Glue (a strong hold glue is best)
  • 1-2 colors of paint (depends on what you want)
  • Optional: ribbon to tie bows on the edges

It's pretty simple to do: What I did was paint the edges of my bulletin board black and glue the fabric of my choice to the cork. I tied bows with the ribbon and glued them to the top corners of the board, then added push pins and hanged my necklaces from them. Super cute and fun!
