The Changing of the Seasons

Does anyone other than me actually feel happier when fall comes around?

I know most people say that summertime brings out the best in them, but summer sucks the life out of me. It's exhausting! The heat, the sunburns .... the heat. I'm not a huge fan of summer fashion either (when it comes to wearing it, really). It always gets so hot in Alabama that I can't bring myself to put much more effort into my outfits than t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops.

Probably a fashion felony, but I digress.

And I don't know what it is, but the summer never brings out the best in me. It brings out the worrier in me, more so than usual. I haven't had a super fun summer in years, and it's especially unsatisfying for me when I don't have much going on in the summer. I guess I'm one of those people who does better when I have a lot to do. Having an extended period of time off makes me feel lethargic and unmotivated.

Fall makes me feel alive. The cool, crisp weather is fresh and new. My outfit options opens up, which can ultimately make my day. The change in the air really helps push me to work hard and enjoy my life. I love transitions like this. And it's never unexpected; I always know when fall is near, and obviously, it always occurs.

I just feel like a new, improved version of myself this time of year. The winds are changing, and so is life.

What do you love about the changing of the seasons?
